Woody, Buzz and the gang are all back for this third installment in the Toy Story series of movies. I remember taking my now 6 year old to see it in 3D. Now THAT was a treat!

Speaking of 3D – all the party supplies that you see above ARE in 3D!

Cool, huh? It’s the first time I’ve ever seen kids party supplies that jump out at you when you wear 3D glasses. That is why my now 6 year old had to have these last year at his birthday and let me tell you, the 3D feature was a HUGE hit with his friends!

If your child is looking at these and telling you that this is what he wants, he isn’t alone. This childrens party theme is one of the top selling themes out there today. So, let’s take a look at the different levels of party packs that each of the above vendors offers so you can determine which one is the best pack for you.

Let’s Compare Toy Story 3 Party Supplies

The Basic packs will give you just that – the basic party supplies you’ll need in order to pull off your Toy Story party. You can see that all the different companies will give you a lot of the same things: 8 plates, 16 napkins, 8 cups, 8 sets of utensils and streamers. But, this is where the similarity ends.

Birthday Express’s basic party pack gives you a table covering, 18 balloons in 3 party matching colors and activity placemats. The placemats are nice for younger kids to help coral some of the birthday cake crumbs. Shindigz’s kit only gives you 12 balloons in 2 matching colors however their kit will give you the theme matching thank you notes. Birthday in a Box’s pack doesn’t even give you balloons or a table covering but they do give you candles for your cake. Another thing about Birthday in a Box’s pack that you need to note is that the plates they give you are the dessert plates and not the dinner plates like the other packs. None of the packs give you the 3D glasses you need but they do all sell these seperately.

Deluxe packs are a step up from the basic packs and typically the ones that I buy every year for our children’s parties. While they cost a little more than the basic ones, these packs usually give you a good amount of theme matching decorations to help dress up your party space. For this reason, these are probably the most popular kits that people decide to buy.

Birthday Express has two different versions of the deluxe kit: deluxe and deluxe +. Their deluxe kit gives you everything in their basic kit plus you get a 3D centerpiece, extra balloon, curling ribbons, streamers in 3 colors, confetti and candles for your cake. Oh, and they are the only ones to actually INCLUDE the 3D glasses in their deluxe kit!

Birthday Express’ Deluxe + kit gives you everything in their deluxe kit PLUS you get 8 party favor boxes WITH all the favors. This is why I love Birthday Express, they really try to give you everything you need for your party in one kit.

Shindigz’s deluxe kit doesn’t give you the 3D table covering (you get a lime green one) and you don’t get fun extras like confetti – but you do get candles for your cake. However, their kit is lacking some of the basics like more party decorations and the 3D glasses. But, if you are a person who doesn’t mind doing some decorating yourself or buying the glasses separately, the price is pretty good.

Birthday In A Box has some fun extras that the other two vendors don’t such as Toy Story themed beverage napkins, a Toy Story candle for your cake and a customizable birthday banner (I love this). Their kit does not include the 3D glasses but you can buy them on their website separately. You’d think that if the party supplies are IN 3D that you would offer these as part of your kit. Seems logical to me but I’m not the one putting the kits together.

This monster kit of the party supply world is only sold by Birthday Express and it includes EVERYTHING! Not only do you get everything in their basic and deluxe + packs, but you also get extra added things like a Toy Story 3 pinata with the fillers, tattoos, sports drink bottles, dessert plates, necklaces and even thank you’s. Oh, and they include these amazing removable wall decorations that are perfect to decorate your party space and then reuse in your child’s room.
